Why Botulinum toxins for Esthetics?

Medical and dental esthetic services involve high-technology materials and technology. The use of advanced dentofacial esthetic technologies provides medically safe, non-invasive procedures designed to cause a significant cosmetic change or enhancement. Lines and wrinkles are most commonly caused by the muscles contracting under the skin. When that muscle does not contract, the dynamic motion that causes wrinkles in the skin will stop. The skin then starts to smooth out, and in approximately three to ten days after treatment, the skin above those muscles becomes nice and smooth. The effects of Botox last for approximately three to four months, at which time the patient needs re-treatment. Botox has been safely used for longer than 20 years in many patients without side-effects.
