Dental Face Lift

What is the Dentofacial-lift (dento-rhytidectomy)?

State-of the-art dentistry, injection techniques for tissue healing, muscle relaxation and skin tightening have made it possible to turn the clock backwards helping us to regain a youthful appearance.  The IADE focuses only on educating and training all healthcare professionals to improve the esthetics of the lower face with the safest and most predictable non-surgical procedures.

Non Surgical Face Lifts

There five general types of non surgical face lifts:

  • Adding dental hard tissue. The facial bones shrink and the teeth wear down with age. That leaves the skin loose over the bone and teeth. A simple way to increase the 3D dimension of this support (tooth and bone frame) is to replace the worn down yellow teeth and missing teeth with dental implants and crowns. Many patients prefer this because no additional treatments may be required to improve the overall facial esthetics. And this treatment lasts longer than all others!
  • Injectable Fillers, which is when fillers are used to restore and reshape facial volume lost due to loss of skin elasticity, buccal cheek pads, bone and tooth volume to give a more youthful look.
  • Hyaluronidase and Lecithin fat dissolvers have been around for a while. These treatments gained popularity in reducing fat dimpling are now used on the jowls to reduce the descended buccal fat pads and eliminate the pre-jowl sulcus.
  • Platelet rich plasma injections have shown great results when used in crinkling skin around the eyes and mouth, cheeks and mid-face, neck and jawline. These activated platelets release growth factors and attract stem cells to these areas to rapidly and permanently repair damaged tissues.
  • Laser collagen stimulation: this transfer of energy stimulates the fibroblast in the skin to produce collagen causing some tightening of the face. This is only considered mildly effective.

Non –invasive Facelifts (rhytidectomy) benefits:

  1. Safety – no risky anesthetics or surgery
  2. Fast treatment time with minimal side-effects and recovery time
  3. Efficient use of time – Added to routine bi- or tri-annual dental office visits for procedures  like prophy’s
  4. Rapid beneficial change in appearance.

The International association of Dentofacial Esthetics (IADE) pioneered most of the injectable procedures taught and used by medical and dental professions worldwide. We offer two full days of Dentox live hands-on patient training to teach ideal procedures and techniques for Botox and dermal fillers.
